Tips For Interactive Virtual Movement Classes
How to Zoom
If you have not used Zoom before there are a few steps required to get set up. I recommend that you sign-up for a free account at https://zoom.us/ Then click the link in the email invitation to our yoga or dance class. You will automatically be prompted to download the zoom app (on your phone) or application (on your desktop); follow prompts to finish installing zoom. You will only need to set-up your account like this once.
If you need more detailed instructions here are the text details: Getting started guide for new users - Zoom Support

Where to practice?
Choose a space in your home large enough to do a jumping jack in each direction without hitting any furniture. Prioritize setting up your screen so that you can clearly follow along with the instructor, don’t worry about having your entire body visible on camera. Remember that you can use headphones to help focus on audio.
What to wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and does not restrict movement, like joggers or leggings and a slim fitting shirt. You may want to bring a long-sleeve shirt to protect your arms and shoulders while rolling and moving on the ground. For Goodnight Yoga classes, your pajamas will be perfect. Modern Dance & Yoga are usually done barefoot or wearing socks.
What to bring?
Class is short but it’s a good idea to have water available for drinking.
For yoga classes, a mat or blanket is usually used to prepare the ground. Yoga blocks are also helpful but are not required. For reference, a yoga block is about the same size as the last Harry Potter book, so that should help you choose a substitute. A yoga strap, belt, or extra towel may also be used for stretching. If you are interested, a set of standard sized yoga props can be purchased for about $15, for example through GAIAM.
Consent to be Recorded.
Interactive virtual movement classes with Revolution Modern Dance may be recorded. When possible, the instructor will announce when recording begins/ends, and they will also announce the intended use and scope of the recording. For example, only the instructor’s screen will be recorded, and the recording will be made available to students who missed the live class. However, by participating in interactive virtual movement classes with Revolution Modern Dance, you are giving consent to have yourself recorded at any time, and for these images and/or sounds to be used for any lawful uses, including without limitation, illustration, promotion, advertising, and/or trade. You also waive and release any rights to compensation for, or ownership of, such images and/or sounds.
Students are also welcome to request permission to record the class from their side, exclusively for personal use. Such requests will be granted at the discretion of the instructor and the unanimous consent of the other students in the class.
